$pend collects no data. Not anonymised data, not usage statistics, not crash reports. There is no $pend server to send anything to.
What we collect
Nothing. $pend has no account system, no login, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. We do not collect, transmit, sell, share, or store your personal information, because none of it ever reaches us.
What you enter, and where it goes
Everything you type into $pend — payees, amounts, due dates, notes, and the payments you record — is stored:
- On your device, in the app's private storage; and
- In your own private iCloud database, if you are signed in to iCloud, so it syncs between your own Apple devices and survives losing a phone.
That iCloud data lives in your personal iCloud account, governed by Apple's privacy policy. It is not shared with us, and we have no technical means to read it. If you are not signed in to iCloud, $pend simply keeps everything on the device.
What we do not do
- We do not link to your bank, card issuer, or any vendor. $pend has no financial connections of any kind — every figure in it is one you typed.
- The app contains no analytics or crash-reporting services.
- We do not show ads or work with ad networks.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not sell or share data with anyone, because we do not have any.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, $pend schedules bill reminders locally on your device. No notification content is sent through a server, ours or anyone else's.
Deleting your data
Delete the app to remove everything stored on the device. To remove the synced copy, turn off iCloud for $pend in Settings → [your name] → iCloud, or delete the app's iCloud data from that screen. We hold no copy to delete.
Children
$pend is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
This website
Everything above describes the $pend app. This website is a separate thing, and we'd rather be precise about it than let a sweeping claim stand.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which serves it with its own privacy-first analytics — no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, and no advertising. That gives us page-view counts, nothing that identifies you.
The app is unaffected: it contains no analytics of any kind, and no third-party SDKs whatsoever. Nothing you enter into $pend touches this website or any server we run.
